Many celebrities advocate for a cause that is near and dear to their hearts. Lady Gaga, one of the most well known advocates of anti-bullying took her cause to the White House. As promised, Lady Gaga brought her concerns to Washington and although she was unable to meet with President Obama she did have a sit down discussion with one of Obama’s advisors Valerie Jarrett and staff members of the Oval Office.
Although Lady Gaga was unable to meet with the President, she is not giving up. She is working to set up a meeting with him and in the meantime has her Twitter followers tweeting #MakeALawForJamey, in honor of Jamey Rodemeyer, a 14 year old boy who committed suicide due to bullying.
Lady Gaga since her visit to the White House has set up the Born This Way Foundation to fight against bullying and provide support for those who experience bullying everyday.
